Technical/Design Intern:
Area of Focus: Technical Theater and Design
Reports to: Jane Rose
Work Schedule: dates TBD; Fridays and one additional day per week
Compensation: School Credit

Internship Overview:
As a part of the Tech/Design Department, Interns will assist in the design, creation and implementation of technical and design elements for DConstruction Arts shows. The skills taught by the Technical and Design team will translate to areas of live design for theater, concerts and multimedia/themed entertainment companies.
Primary Duties:

Commit to a 15-week internship for 16 - 20 hours per week (working on Fridays for 8-10 hrs, remaining hours will be scheduled weekly), as well as meeting regularly with supervisor

Work closely with Technical/Design team

Be present and assist with technical rehearsals and shows as general event crew

Assist in the creation of design content for shows
Requirements and Desired Qualifications:
The applicant must be a qualified undergraduate or graduate student with a genuine interest in technical theater and design; must have experience with basic theatrical design in sound, projection or lighting, basic knowledge of Mac computers and editing process, QLab savvy and Adobe Premiere prowess are extremely helpful. Interest in nonprofit arts, theater, and circus are a plus. Applicant is responsible for their own housing and MUST have reliable transportation.
