Development Internship Position
Development Intern:
Area of Focus: Development, Marketing, and Social Media
Reports to: Tavi Stutz
Work Schedule: Dates TBD; Fridays and one additional day per week
Compensation: School Credit

Internship Overview:
As a part of the Development and Marketing Team, Interns will assist in the creation of digital, multimedia and print materials, as well as social media campaigns that tell the story of DConstruction Arts, engage audiences and promote upcoming shows.
The skills taught in the Development and Marketing team include writing and editing for print and online publications, social media engagement, grant writing, and digital marketing practices can be transferred to countless industries. The Development Intern will also assist onsite for DConstruction Arts performances and events.
Primary Duties:

Commit to a 15-week internship for 16 - 20 hours per week (working on Fridays for 8-10 hrs, remaining hours will be scheduled weekly), as well as meeting regularly with supervisor

Work closely with Development and Marketing team

Assist in email marketing and content management to communicate and engage audiences

Assist in the conception and creation of photo and video materials for digital channels (social media, website, email, etc.)

Research grants and digital/social media best practices to assist in the ongoing growth of our company.
Requirements and Desired Qualifications:
The applicant must be a qualified undergraduate or graduate student with a genuine interest in marketing, communications and social media; must have experience writing or editing for a publication (student newspaper, blog, social media or website, etc), basic knowledge of HTML and Wix, Photoshop savvy and social media prowess are extremely helpful. Interest in nonprofit arts, theater, and circus are a plus. Applicant is responsible for their own housing and MUST have reliable transportation.
